Our Story

About Us

At LegacySips, our story begins in the lush, rolling hills of Kiambu in Central Kenya, where our family has cultivated coffee and tea for generations. Nestled at elevations reaching 1,650 meters, our farms benefit from the region's fertile volcanic soils, and temperate climate, ideal conditions that yield beans and leaves of exceptional quality.

In the mid-1950s, our grandfather was one of the first generation of African farmers permitted to grow coffee on his own land. Once grown however, the highest-quality Kenyan coffee and tea was often rebranded and exported by large corporate entities.

These traditional market models have long favored middlemen and large corporations, often at the expense of farmers and consumers. LegacySips is here to change that narrative.

Three generations later, our journey birthed in the uncertainty our forefathers faced, and forged by their grit and commitment to excellence, continues. We grow, process, and source products directly from our farms and neighboring communities, ensuring that every step—from cultivation to your cup—is handled with care and integrity. By focusing on eco-friendly practices and the equitable treatment of workers, we aim to set a new standard in the coffee and tea industry.

Our mission at LegacySips is to reclaim the value of our coffee and tea by offering it directly to the global market—ensuring fair returns for the farmers and communities.

We will accomplish this by offering high-quality, ethically produced coffee and tea that honors the hard work of farmers and delivers unparalleled flavor to our customers. â€‹
